I remember how utterly confused I was when we went swimming while staying at a hotel for a handfasting/wedding and the size 12 swimsuit didn't fit anymore. (This was less than one month from when I wore the bottoms for the super hero costume.) The skirt in this picture was borrowed from my mother because I didn't have anything nice that fit to wear to the wedding. I had to go out thrifting for size 14 jeans this month, because I could no longer stuff into the 12s. I was completely puzzled as to why I was gaining weight so fast.
